DTF Transfer Application Instructions
1. Preheat the Heat Press:
Set your heat press to the recommended temperature for DTF transfers (typically 300–325°F). Preheating ensures consistent and even heat distribution.2. Pre-Press the Garment:
Press the garment for a few seconds before applying the transfer. This removes any excess moisture and smooths the fabric, helping the transfer adhere properly for a longer-lasting finish.3. Position the Transfer:
Place the transfer in the desired location, making sure the garment is flat and wrinkle-free. Wrinkles can cause uneven adhesion and a distorted final design.4. Use a Teflon Sheet:
Cover the transfer with a Teflon sheet to protect both the garment and your heat press.5. Press the Transfer:
Apply heat and pressure according to the recommended settings. The typical pressure range is 30–60 PSI (medium to firm).6. Peel the Transfer:
Hot Peel: Carefully peel immediately after pressing.
Cool Peel: Allow the transfer to cool for a few seconds before peeling.
Peel slowly from a corner, pulling low and along the garment rather than lifting straight up.
7. Final Press:
After removing the film, press the garment again for about 10 seconds. This helps remove any shine and gives the design a softer, more natural feel.
8. Avoid Overheating:
Excessive heat can dull colors or warp the design. Stick to recommended settings.
Troubleshooting:
If any part of the image does not transfer completely, repress with the film still in place. For cool peels, allow the transfer to cool again before re-peeling.
Care Instructions:
Turn garment inside out before washing
Machine wash cold
Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
Do not dry clean or iron directly on the design
Tumble dry low
